Market America has been around for quite some time, becoming a very established business, located at www.MarketAmerica.com. If you go directly to their online site, you will be directed to an online portal that is open for shopping.
Though the Market America Business has been around for some time, actually having the TRUE Mentorship and Technology to survive online is another question.
Just by visiting www.MarketAmerica.com you’ll come to a generic website, but MA distributors will be able to have their very own website, similar to the one seen on the MarketAmerica home page. The difference between distributor websites and the main Market America website is that after the “.com” the distributors name will be shown, something like www.MarketAmerica.com/YOUR_NAME_HERE.
Distributors also have the option of trying http://home.mawebcenters.com/ for their web development needs.
What’s For Sale At www.MarketAmerica.com
Looking at the site you can see that MA sells just about anything you can ever want, from health, beauty, books, cell phones, kids toys, etc etc etc. You can also find links to “Featured Partners” like Walmart, Target, Apple Store, and BestBuy.
From what I can see, wwwMarketAmericacom is nothing more than a 3rd party site that sells products. The term MarketAmerica likes to use is “Product Brokerage.” Simply put it, it just means that MarketAmericaCom is a “Product Middleman.” Meaning if any sort of sale is made through the site, the website owner or distributor will make an affiliated commission for the sale.
This does include all “Featured Partners.” You see, places like Walmart and BestBuy will pay you a certain percentage for sending Internet Traffic to their site. You can think of it as just advertising cost.
This in itself is nothing new, this type of business model has been around since the birth of the Internet.
Currently Market America’s top selling products are all “in-house” products or product made specifically for MarketAmerica:

No surprise, distributors probably make the most money pushing these products versus anything sold on BestBuy.com or Target.com
I know many will boast about how MA is partnered with some of the biggest companies like Microsoft and Walmart, but truth be told any Sue or Joe can create a webpage and become business partners with the likes these giants. Regardless boasting partnership with big name corporations is a great marketing tactic!
The Market America Business Opportunity
I’ve heard that distributors will tell you Market America has taken the best of the network marketing, direct sales, home-based business industry, but when it comes down to it, it’s still a multi-level recruiting business model.
Personally I have seen MA’s sales plan, payment compensation plan, and business opportunity and it looks to be a very appealing. I see nothing wrong with it, and I know it to be a very ligament business opportunity. I personally know distibuter who make a very luxurious living in the business.

Many are saying that MA is just like Amway, and really the founder James Ridinger came from Amway back in 1992, so I can see the similarity of the two companies
The Market America Business is known for being an “Unfranchise” business. I actually think it’s coined by James Ridinger himself, but what they mean is that it’s very similar to a franchise, in that you can acquire your online store and become a product brokerage business, but you don’t have all the fees and overhead associated with a traditional brink and mortar franchise.
For an Internet business www.MarketAmerica.com has just been around a long time and personally I don’t think that the marketing efforts have really been up to speed for true Internet Marketing. I have personally been approached by an MA rep and what I saw I wasn’t too pleased with.
I was told about a bunch of offline marketing tactics, and in this day in age it’s about leveraging the power of the internet. Having a real Internet Network Marketing Business is what it all about.
To be focusing your time and efforts to offline tactics will do nothing but drain your time; our most precious of all assets.

In an Internet Network Marketing Business, what it really boils down to is your ability to market and your ability to generate leads. If you’re not focusing on those two things, than you’re just wasting your time online.
